Is RTX 2050 better than 3050?

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 Mobile and RTX 3050 are both based on the modern Ampere GA107 chip, manufactured on an 8nm Samsung process (8N).

But which one is better? Let’s take a closer look.

When it comes to memory speed, the RTX 3050 is the clear winner, boasting a whopping 1750 MHz compared to the RTX 2050 Mobile’s 14000 MHz. The RTX 3050 also has a wider memory bus width of 128 bit compared to the RTX 2050 Mobile’s 64 bit. Both cards feature GDDR6 memory type.

In terms of core count, the RTX 3050 has more cores than the RTX 2050 Mobile, with 1024 compared to the latter’s 768. The RTX 3050 also has a higher base clock speed of 1320 MHz compared to the RTX 2050 Mobile’s 1215 MHz.

The RTX 3050 also has a higher thermal design power (TDP) of 65W compared to the RTX 2050 Mobile’s 55W. This means that the RTX 3050 is more power-hungry than the RTX 2050 Mobile.

When it comes to price, the RTX 3050 is more expensive than the RTX 2050 Mobile. This is due to its higher performance and higher TDP.

Overall, the RTX 3050 is the better choice if you’re looking for a powerful graphics card with a higher memory speed, wider memory bus width, more cores, higher base clock speed, and higher TDP. However, if you’re looking for a more affordable option, the RTX 2050 Mobile is the better choice.
